I'm surrounded by a field of flowers, and I can even smell the lavender in the air and I feel the breeze blowing my hair around my face. The grass tickles my skin and I realize that I'm laying down. I know exactly where I am and I can picture the kingdom that lays to the west. There are town merchants lining the streets outside of the palace that the kingdom is surrounding. I can picture the people that stand on the street selling their goods to provide for their family .
I know that this place isn't real, but everynight I somehow return to the magical place. I think that I dream of this place because it's my escape from my stressful life. As the top of the class, and strongly involved in almost every school group possible, along with working and taking care of my 2 year old sister, because my parents are hardly anywhere to be found, I have a hard time managing all of my time without being overly stressed;
So this is my escape, this fantasy world in which I feel as though I spend more time in then I should.
I can name all of the townspeople and I know much about King Kevin and Queen Darla, who seem to rule the kingdom much more cruely then they should.
At first when I came to the kingdom I was shocked at how difference it was from my reality. Instead of being modern age the entire Kingdom seems to be back from the middle ages. There are knights, who ride their horses throughout the city patrolling the area for peasants who try to steal goods from merchants. The knights themselves are just as bad as the theives, because they seem to think that all of the merchants should give them free goods for protecting them. Of course the merchants have no choice but to comply.
I wandered around in the field before I finally saw the Kingdom rising out of the horizon. I was stopped right outside of the gate by a young women, who told me that I was in danger and needed to follow her. Reluctantly I followed her.
